Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Sterling Auburn Concrete Construction, auburnconcreteconstruction.com, hi@auburnconcreteconstruction.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Sterling Auburn Concrete Construction website and any estimate, scheduling or concrete work you arrange with us through it, by phone or in person. If you use the site or hire us, you're agreeing to these terms, so please read them before you book a job.

If you have a signed agreement or written estimate for a specific job, that document controls wherever it says something different from this page. You can learn more about who we are on our about us page.

What we do

We're a concrete contractor in Auburn, AL, and our crew handles flatwork, which means driveways, patios, sidewalks and other slabs on the ground. We also build steps, retaining walls, footings, foundations, pool decks and garage floors, and we do decorative, stamped and cutting work. The full list is on our home page.

Service descriptions, photos and examples on this site show the kind of work we do. They aren't a promise that your job will look exactly the same, because every yard, slab and soil condition is different.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free, done in person and obligation-free, so asking for one doesn't commit you to anything. We respond to estimate requests within 1 business day.

Your price depends on the size and thickness of the slab, how much digging and base work the subgrade needs, which is the dirt and gravel the slab sits on, access to the site, the finish you choose and any removal of old concrete. Anything general on this website is for information only and isn't a quote for your job.

An estimate is based on what we can see before work starts. If we open up the job and find something we couldn't see, such as soft or wet ground, buried debris or roots, we'll stop and talk with you about it before we do extra work or change the price.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set your pour date together, but concrete depends on the weather, so rain, ground that's too wet or heat that would weaken the surface can push the date back. When that happens we'll reschedule with you as soon as conditions allow, and a weather delay isn't a breach of our agreement.

If you need to cancel or move your date, please call us at (334) 780-0068 as early as you can. Once concrete has been ordered or site work has started, you may owe for materials and labor already spent, as set out in your written estimate or agreement.

You'll need to keep people, pets and vehicles off new concrete while it cures, which is the waiting period while it hardens and gains strength. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and damage from using it too early isn't covered.

Payment

Your written estimate or agreement sets the payment schedule for your job, including any deposit and when the balance is due. Payment is due on the terms written there, and changes you ask for after the job starts may change the total.

If a balance goes unpaid, we may use the collection options Alabama law allows, including a lien on the property where we did the work.

Our guarantee and what concrete does on its own

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee, and any specific workmanship warranty for your job is the one written in your agreement. We're licensed and fully insured.

Concrete shrinks as it cures, and small hairline cracks are normal and expected. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, but no contractor can promise a slab will never crack. Color differences, small surface marks and changes caused by settling soil, tree roots, drainage you change later, de-icing salt, heavy equipment or vehicles heavier than the slab was built for aren't defects in our work.

Apart from the guarantee and any written warranty above, and as far as the law allows, we don't give other warranties, stated or implied. The information on this website is provided as is, and we don't promise it's complete or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

As far as Alabama law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your driveway, lost income or damage caused by conditions we couldn't reasonably have known about.

We aren't responsible for underground lines, pipes or sprinkler heads that weren't marked or that you didn't tell us about. Please point out anything buried on your property before we start digging.

Nothing on this page limits any right you have that the law doesn't allow a business to limit.

If we disagree

If you're unhappy with any part of our work, call us first, because most problems get fixed fastest when we can come look at them together. We'll come out, take a look and tell you what we'll do about it.

If we still can't settle it, either of us may take the matter to a court with authority over Lee County, Alabama.

Which law applies

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes won't affect a job you've already signed for unless we both agree to it in writing.
