Concrete Retaining Walls in Auburn AL - a wall that holds your slope and drains

Soil washing down your slope or crowding the driveway? We build reinforced concrete walls that hold the ground back and let water drain.

A broad concrete-block retaining wall has a central flight of steps leading to a fenced yard beside a house.

A concrete retaining wall that keeps your yard level

A concrete retaining wall is poured into forms, which act as a temporary mold, around steel bars, then left to cure so it can stand against the soil pushing on it. Most calls start with a slope that keeps washing out, or a yard too steep for a patio or a pool deck.

I start every wall with how water will get out from behind it, because that's where a lot of the trouble begins. Height, length, how much ground we dig out and the drainage set the price, and the schedule turns on whether an engineer's design is needed. I'll go over each of those choices with you in the written estimate.

Choices that shape your wall

Get a quote
  1. Walls that need an engineer

Auburn wants an engineered design over four feet, or over twenty-four inches with fill behind or above the wall, so we plan for it early and build from those drawings.

  2. Walls over four feet

Past four feet, counted from the bottom of its buried base, the city's Inspection Services requires a permit, and we handle our part of that paperwork.

  3. Cutting into a hill

When we cut into a slope to make room for a shop or garage, the wall holds the bank so a concrete floor can sit level beside it.

  4. Poured or block

Dry-stack and precast walls go up faster, while poured concrete needs extra days for forms and curing, the wait while it hardens, so plan for that.

Tell us about your slope

Send the wall's rough length and height and a few photos of the slope, and we'll reply within one business day to set a time for me to come look.

Why homeowners trust us with their walls

  • I look at it myself

I come out to look at your slope myself, and I'm on site with our crew on the days we form and pour the wall.

  • Pouring concrete since 2023

We've been in business since 2023, and I learned the trade pouring small pads, walks and steps for neighbors before it became my full-time work.

  • Licensed and insured for your wall

We're licensed and fully insured. Auburn's permit checklist for a retaining wall lists a current state residential contractor license and a current city contractor license.

Let's plan your retaining wall

Tell us if you're in a historic district, since a wall seen from the street out front needs a Certificate of Appropriateness. Then we'll set a time to visit.
